Implementation and performance evaluation of advance metering infrastructure for Borneo-Wide Power Grid

摘要: In this paper, a supervisory computer network for Borneo-Wide Power Grid system have been proposed and implemented, which includes a renewable power generation and advanced metering infrastructure. An Internet-based communication network running on multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) has been implemented for a smart power grid, with the addition of the renewable energy monitoring system. The centralized supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) are replaced by a wide area monitoring system(WAMS) comprising of a phasor measurement unit (PMU). The implemented communication network used advanced metering infrastructure that operates on worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX), wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) and low power Wi-Fi, which are proposed for the distribution systems of Sarawak Energy. The proposed wide area network (WAN) is simulated using OPNET Modeler and the results are compared with the existing WAN used by Sarawak Energy.

Quality control based on electrode displacement and force in resistance spot welding

摘要: The behaviors of electrode displacement and force during spot welding under various conditions, such as different weld currents, electrode forces, and welding times, were studied. Tests were conducted on a 170?kVA MFDC spot welder. Data were collected via a multichannel high-speed data acquisition system and were analyzed with MATLAB. Behaviors of 5182 aluminum and mild steel in spot welding were compared. Results show that nugget expansion rate does not reach zero for aluminium as it does for mild steel as nugget grew to a certain size. A linear relationship is found between the nugget size and maximum expansion that facilitates online weld quality evaluation. An electrode force peak is observed and believed relevant to the sufficient nugget size.

摘要:

由于人们对气候变化和环境保护的日益关注,智慧发电已成为常规火力发电厂和可再生能源系统经济安全运行的关键。面对日益增长的系统规模及其各种不确定性,传统的基于模型的第一定律方法已难以满足系统控制的要求。机器学习(ML)和数据驱动控制(DDC)技术的蓬勃发展为这些传统方法提供了一种替代方案。本文回顾了机器学习和数据驱动控制技术在发电系统监测、控制、优化和故障检测方面的典型应用,特别着重于揭示这些方法在评价、消除或耐受相关不确定性影响方面的作用。本文为智慧发电控制技术提供了一个从调节层到规划层的总体视角,分别从可见性、机动性、灵活性、经济性和安全性(简称“五性”)方面对机器学习和数据驱动控制技术的优势进行阐释。最后,对未来研究和应用进行了展望。

西堠门大桥结构监测系统的设计与实现(II):系统实现

摘要:

采用“西堠门大桥结构监测系统的设计与实现(I):系统设计”中的设计方法,为西堠门大桥设计并实现桥梁结构监测系统。研究西堠门大桥结构监测系统的总体设计方案、子系统的设计方案及其软硬件的实现。分析西堠门大桥结构监测系统在运营中监测的桥梁荷载和结构响应。研究结果表明,西堠门大桥结构监测系统正常运行,实现了预期设计功能,基于工业以太网分布式数据采集与传输系统在桥梁结构监测系统中得以成功应用,可在其他工程中加以推广。

Analysis and control of micro-stepping characteristics of ultrasonic motor

摘要: Micro-stepping motion of ultrasonic motors satisfies biomedical applications, such as cell operation and nuclear magnetic resonance, which require a precise compact-structure non-magnetization positioning device. When the pulse number is relatively small, the stopping characteristics have a non-negligible effect on the entire stepwise process. However, few studies have been conducted to show the rule of the open-loop stepwise motion, especially the shutdown stage. In this study, the modal differences of the shutdown stage are found connected with amplitude and velocity at the turn-off instant. Changes of the length in the contact area and driving zone as well as the input currents, vibration states, output torque, and axial pressure are derived by a simulation model to further explore the rules. The speed curves and vibration results in functions of different pulse numbers are compared, and the stepwise motion can be described by a two-stage two-order transfer function. A test workbench based on the Field Programmable Gate Array is built for acquiring the speed, currents, and feedback voltages of the startup–shutdown stage accurately with the help of its excellent synchronization performances. Therefore, stator vibration, rotor velocity, and terminal displacements under different pulse numbers can be compared. Moreover, the two-stage two-order model is identified on the stepwise speed curves, and the fitness over 85% between the simulation and test verifies the model availability. Finally, with the optimization of the pulse number, the motor achieves 3.3 µrad in clockwise and counterclockwise direction.

摘要:

Redesigning cropping and farming systems to enhance their sustainability is mainly addressed in scientific studies using experimental and modeling approaches. Large data sets collected from real farms allow for the development of innovative methods to produce generic knowledge. Data mining methods allow for the diversity of systems to be considered holistically and can take into account the diversity of production contexts to produce site-specific results. Based on the very few known studies using such methods to analyze the crop management strategies affecting pesticide use and their effect on farm performance, we advocate further investment in the development of large data sets that can support future research programs on farming system design.

摘要:

中药(TCM)是一种天然来源的复杂体系,具有多种多样的化学成分,在中国被广泛应用。中药的质量控制对政府和检测机构来说是一项巨大的挑战,涉及大量科学问题,包括:中药中有多少成分?如何全面地描述中药的诸多成分以及随后如何表征这些成分?为了推荐对照品的选择,这些(活性)代谢产物在多成分中药中的水平和范围是什么?以及选择的指标成分成分需要哪些质量要求,并且从实用的角度看,如何以低成本在短时间内对这些成分进行定量评价?所有这些因素均需要深思熟虑,才能理解中药独特的化学性质,从而提高中药质量标准,从而为患者提供更好的和更稳定的药物治疗。为了回应这些科学问题,本文汇总了有关中药化学分析技术和方法的最新探索性研究。这些方法的进展包括针对液相色谱- 高分辨质谱(LC-HARMS)联用技术的多维分离、LC-HRMS 联用技术的智能触发数据依赖型采集、利用液相色谱- 质谱联用技术(LC-MS)进行靶向分析、超临界流体色谱以及大的质谱(MS)数据集的数据挖掘。此外,为了节省对照品和中药质量标准的分析时间,本文提出了两种质量策略,分别是应用一标多测(SSDMC)和一法多用法。最后,本文介绍了一系列针对中药分析方法的改进。

光传送网中光监控通道信号Q值在线监测技术

提出了一种带有光监控通道(OSC)子系统的光传送网(OTN)分层结构模型,分析了OSC中的信号特点,指出OSC信号质量决定了运行、管理和维护(OAM)信号的可靠性。依据Q值与误码率(BER)的一一对应关系,提出了一种可在线监测OSC信号Q值的方案,并基于数字信号处理芯片(DSP)技术设计了监测模块,实现了OSC信号在线Q值监测。

大数据知识工程发展现状及展望

摘要:

大数据知识工程是人工智能的“基础设施”、诸多行业和领域面临的共性需求、信息化迈向智能化的必由之路。本文阐述了大数据知识工程产生的背景与概念内涵,提出了“数据知识化、知识体系化、知识可推理”的研究框架;梳理了知识获取与融合、知识表征、知识推理等大数据知识工程关键技术和智慧教育、税务风险管控、智慧医疗等典型场景中的工程应用;总结了大数据知识工程面临的挑战,研判了大数据知识工程的未来研究方向,包括复杂大数据知识获取、知识+数据混合学习、脑启发知识编码记忆等。研究建议,引导多学科交叉融合,设立重大和重点研发专项,推动大数据知识工程基础理论与技术攻关;加强企业和研究机构间交流合作,推广前沿研究成果并形成应用示范,建立大数据知识工程行业标准体系;以重大需求应用为导向,探索校企协同育人模式,加快大数据知识工程技术在重要行业的落地应用。

Blockchain in energy systems: values, opportunities, and limitations

摘要: The structure of a power energy system is becoming more distributed than before. It becomes challenging to manage such a system in a centralized way, because a central authority may not exist or may not be trusted by all parties. Blockchain is a promising tool to address this challenge, by enabling trusted collaboration in the absence of a trusted central authority. Its use in the energy sector has been pioneered by several pilot projects. However, to date the energy sector has not seen large-scale deployment of blockchain, partly because the founders of those pilot projects, the public, and utilities have not reached consensus on the values and limitations of blockchain in energy. This perspective aims to bridge this gap. First, the philosophy and unique values of blockchain are discussed. Second, some promising blockchain-based applications in energy systems are presented. Third, some common misunderstandings of blockchain in energy are discussed. Last, some frequently-asked questions from utilities are discussed. Hopefully this perspective can help advance large-scale deployment of blockchain in energy systems.

Motion control of multi-actuator hydraulic systems for mobile machineries: Recent advancements and future

This paper presents a survey of recent advancements and upcoming trends in motion control technologies employed in designing multi-actuator hydraulic systems for mobile machineries. Hydraulic systems have been extensively used in mobile machineries due to their superior power density and robustness. However, motion control technologies of multi-actuator hydraulic systems have faced increasing challenges due to stringent emission regulations. In this study, an overview of the evolution of existing throttling control technologies is presented, including open-center and load sensing controls. Recent advancements in energy-saving hydraulic technologies, such as individual metering, displacement, and hybrid controls, are briefly summarized. The impact of energy-saving hydraulic technologies on dynamic performance and control solutions are also discussed. Then, the advanced operation methods of multi-actuator mobile machineries are reviewed, including coordinated and haptic controls. Finally, challenges and opportunities of advanced motion control technologies are presented by providing an overall consideration of energy efficiency, controllability, cost, reliability, and other aspects.

摘要: 设计了一个非脆弱采样数据控制方案,用于互连耦合电路系统(多智能体系统)的渐近同步标准。该方案对所考虑的多智能体系统在时变延迟情况下作同步分析。通过构建合适的李亚普诺夫函数,得出线性矩阵不等式成立的充分条件,确保多智能体领导者和跟随者系统之间的同步。最后,给出两个数值案例,展示了该控制方案的有效性和所提李亚普诺夫函数的较低保守性。

Design and control optimization of energy systems of smart buildings today and in the near future

摘要: Buildings contribute to a major part of energy consumption in urban areas, especially in areas like Hong Kong which is full of high-rise buildings. Smart buildings with high efficiency can reduce the energy consumption largely and help achieve green cities or smart cities. Design and control optimization of building energy systems therefore plays a significant role to obtain the optimal performance. This paper introduces a general methodology for the design and control optimization of building energy systems in the life cycle. When the design scheme of building energy systems is optimized, primary steps and related issues are introduced. To improve the operation performance, the optimal control strategies that can be used by different systems are presented and key issues are discussed. To demonstrate the effect of the methods, the energy system of a high-rise building is introduced. The design on the chilled water pump system and cooling towers is improved. The control strategies for chillers, pumps and fresh air systems are optimized. The energy saving and cost from the design and control optimization methods are analyzed. The presented methodology will provide users and stakeholders an effective approach to improve the energy efficiency of building energy systems and promote the development of smart buildings and smart cities.
